Monday Mornings-Is It Too Early for A Drink?
If this is any indication of how the rest of my day is going to be......UGH!
Office conversation goes something like this:
Me: "Good Morning"
J: "Copier's not working. L was in all weekend and got so mad she was going to call you at home. She ended up going to Kinkos.
Me: "I don't answer the phone when the office calls over the weekend"
J: "But this was important"
Me: "My family is important"
J: "But she wanted to make sure you knew it was down"
Me: "I couldn't have called the repair person until today anyway."
J: "Well be prepared, she's not happy"
Me: "Why should I be prepared?"
J: "Because she's not happy and she's going to yell at you"
Me: "No she won't. Even if she does, that doesn't mean I have to listen"
J: "Oh, you are so brave"
Off to solve the problem, my next conversation goes like this:
Me: "We need to have the repair person come out again. We are completely down. Same jamming problem we called with twice last week. We don't want M** to come out as he hasn't been able to fix the problem the two times he was out last week."
K: "Well, he's our best technician"
Me: "Best technician? Please send someone else and they need to be out this morning"
K: "Well, what do you mean when you say you're down"
Me: Silence......."We can't use the copier"
K: "Why can't you use the copier"
Me: Deep breath...."Please schedule a repair person other than M*** to come out this morning. Is your boss available"
Ugh!
