Celebrating Women...for the Real World
Sunday, February 12, 2006 The Eagle Has Almost Landed!

I’m so glad this day came and went. G2 finished his Eagle Scout Project. He built two picnic tables and a menu board for the Lion’s Club concession stand at the ball fields. We ordered perfect weather (just a little chilly) and got it.

A lot of people don’t realize all that goes into the Eagle Scout Project. The scout has to pick the project, plan it, organize it, find the funding, recruit help, execute the plan and complete it. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Here we have the man with the plan!

This is what happened when I showed up with donuts and kolaches.

Working, working, working

We are getting the vision now.

Of course, you know that they had to give the tables a "stress test".

Finishing touches: Water sealer

Both father and son were pretty tired at the end of the day.

After they delivered the tables to the ball field, G2 said that a jogger came by and thanked him for the tables, I thought that was pretty cool.
