Celebrating Women...for the Real World

This really pisses me off! I love sports, have always loved sports (my own son got the amplified gene), but this I think is ridiculous.

Read what this High School football star in Mesquite, Texas did:

“Jackson, who has drawn interest from major college football programs, awaits an Oct. 17 trial on six counts of aggravated robbery, each a first-degree felony punishable by a prison term of five to 99 years or life. According to a police report, Jackson admitted taking part in the robberies of six people at gunpoint during two incidents Jan. 18 in Garland and Mesquite.”

So the Texas High School Coaches Association says it is unethical for a school to play an athlete who is facing a felony charge. Now does that sound unreasonable to you? Because it doesn’t sound unreasonable to me. The Coach from Mesquite High School stated that he would have not allowed Jackson to play because of the code of ethics. So now Jackson’s attorney is stating that he will plead “not guilty” and he is attempting to transfer to another school that will let him play.

Lancaster High School has welcomed him with open arms. The coach Andrew Jackson (no relation) stated: "Kids are kids," Jackson said. "Sometimes they make bad decisions. But you can't throw away a kid's life." Can you believe this crap?! It sounds like Brandon Jackson has decided to throw his own life away.

Check out the full article in the Dallas Morning News, you are not going to believe it. I also have to add SI's humor about it:

“Go long, go long”…. "I can’t man…I can only go 40 yards”
